Poems & Paraboles is a collaborative literary publication devoted to poetry, storytelling, and fables that transfigure the ordinary.

The title draws on the old french parabole from the latin parabola and the greek parabolē…to cast beside. A parabole is a symbolic story that uses everyday images, scenes, and experiences to reveal deeper meaning.

We publish work that illuminates, awakens, or opens a small window toward wonder. Some pieces are quiet. Some are bold. Some carry a moral thread, while others wander into the mysterious and ethereal.

Poets and storytellers are invited to submit their work—selected pieces will be posted throughout the year.

At its core poetry is a creative-expressive art form. We publish original work made by real people; for this reason we have an Anti-A.I policy. By submitting your work, you affirm you are the sole author.

We request first serial rights. First serial rights grant Poems & Paraboles the opportunity to publish a work first, before it goes out elsewhere. All individual rights revert back to you, the author, upon publication.
